Things To Do in Taupo

Taupo has some fantastic activities and visiting the geothermal wonderland that is Orakei Korako is one you shouldn't miss. About 45 minutes drive from Taupo the thermal park is a unique experience your whole family can enjoy.

Orakei Korako is a natural geothermal setting, unspoilt by development and is New Zealand's largest geyser field and has one of only two know caves in the world located in a geothermal field.

If you're heading to Rotorua by car, it's on your way, just off SH. Alternatively, for something extra special, Taupos Float Plane will land you on the river and set you down on the floating jetty at Orakei Korako.
