Beautiful and Peaceful

We visited 4 of the major geothermal attractions of the area (check my other reviews). This one was the most out-of-the-way one, but also the one we remember most. The site is varied and quite stunning. The other sights are perhaps more "stunning" in that they have the iconic geysers or other specific sights, but Orakei Korako has nearly as good sights, in a nice package, very peaceful and less crowded. It's the one of the 4 we remember most now that we are home.
