Spectacular Hidden Gem

This is a beautiful spot and well worth the travel to get to. We had limited time in the Rotorua area and we were unhappy about not being able to see the many features particular to this region. At Orakei Korako you get everything. Thermal pools, mud pools, steam vents, flora, caves, water, mountains, stunning views. It is an extremely well maintained place and the people who run it are kind and welcoming. The coffee and carrot cake at the end capped off a fabulous morning. They offer a wide selection of food and there’s a gift shop too. Highly recommend this place.
